Honor Merriman has managed Oxfordshire Primary Care Learning since 2008. We have hosted Continuing Professional Development events for GP’s and team members from their surgeries. The current format of the meetings is up to 2 hours CPD training from an Oxford-based Consultant. We use an online tool (Zoom). Whilst there are social drawbacks with an electronic system there can be added advantages. These are:
- as GP’s become even busier with Long-Covid they can view the meeting without going out again from home at the end of a heavy day
- Child care or babysitters may no longer be required
- If the speaker agrees the meeting can be recorded and made available for a few weeks
We have held regular monthly meetings (although we acknowledge that top speakers will be busy) If you have any ideas please reply to oxford.primary.care.learning2018@gmail.com
