Directions

The Community Centre is situated in Dora Carr Close, next to a large football field. Dora Carr Close is located off Maltfield Road in Northway, Headington. To find Maltfield Road, head for the residential tower block (Plowman Tower) and go past the parade of shops on Westlands Drive. Maltfield Road is on the left, immediately before Plowman Tower, then turn left again onto Dora Carr Close.

Parking

There is a public car park at the Community Centre. There is also parking in the neighbouring streets, but please check for any restrictions. There is a barrier at the entrance of the car park, which can be opened. Please contact the office for the code.

Buses

City Bus X3, X13, 13 (Abingdon – JR Hospital) takes you from the city centre directly to Northway Community Centre. The stop for Northway Community Centre is called Westlands Drive.
Bus 10 (City Centre – JR Hospital)
From the JR Hospital it is a 10-minute walk, via Saxon Way.

Park and Ride

Park and ride is an easy way to get into Oxford by car. There are five park and ride sites located around Oxford’s ring road, with regular bus services to the city centre, and – from some car parks – to the John Radcliffe hospital, which is a 12 minute walk from our office.

For more information, see: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/cms/public-site/park-and-ride

Train

First Great Western, CrossCountry Trains and Chiltern Railways run regular services to/from Oxford city centre station. The new Oxford Parkway station has regular services to/from London Marylebone, via Bicester and High Wycombe.

The Railway Station is served by city bus 13 in the direction of JR Hospital/Northway. City X13, which runs to Northway, can be accessed on St Aldate’s Street.

Cycling

We encourage cycling and a large bicycle rack is available behind the Community Centre. Please note that bikes should always be secured to the rack and are left at your own risk.

When you arrive

There is an OxFed sign by the Community Centre entrance and our doorbell has the OxFed logo on it. The OTH offices are on the first floor, so please ring the bell and we will come and meet you.
